ジェニー先生さようなら、任期を終えて離任

これまで英語指導をしていただいた、ALTのジェニー先生が、離任されました。　4年前に出身国のフィリピンから来日し、臼杵高校で４年間勤務なさいました。　英語の授業や放課後に、英語力の向上に力を注いでくださいました。いつ優しく、穏やかに話を聞いてくださいました。英語を話す不安感も薄れていったような気がします。

８月上旬に臼杵を離れ、東京で英語を使った仕事を続けると聞いております。　ありがとうございました。

Farewell Speech

Hello everyone,
It’s hard to believe that four years have already passed. Working at this school has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I feel so blessed to have been part of Usuki High School.
During that time, I hope you enjoyed learning English and discovering international cultures with me, especially about the Philippines.
You all did really well. I’ve seen your progress, and I’m proud of you. Please continue to study hard and become even better.
Thanks to you all, I’ve had many interesting experiences, like the sports festival, culture festival, and club activities. I have learned so much from you, just as you have learned from me. To the students, thank you for your smiles, your jokes, your endless energy, and for studying hard. Classes were always fun with you.
To the principal, vice principals, and teachers, thank you for your kindness, your guidance, and for always including me as part of the team.
Though I’m leaving, a part of me will always stay here. Thank you for making me a part of the Usuki High School family. It will be a treasured memory.
