ALTのエマ先生からのメッセージ、その４です。今回は、ハロウィーンについてです。　さあ、読んでみましょう！

It’s almost Halloween! Halloween is on October 31 st every year. In the UK, every year I celebrate Halloween with my friends and family. Usually, we go to a Halloween party or watch scary movies together. I always wear a costume on Halloween.
When I was younger, I used to go Trick or Treating with my friends and parents. I also carved pumpkins with my sister. Halloween pumpkins are called Jack-O-Lanterns. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love scary movies, ghost stories, and chocolate!
Halloween originated in the UK and Ireland more than 2000 years ago. It comes from the Celtic festival of Samhain. People believed that on this day, ghosts came back to earth. Halloween is celebrated in many countries today. I’m happy that I can celebrate it in Japan too!
