My Favorite Things about the Japanese Summer

Recently, it has been very hot in Oita. I hope you are staying safe and drinking plenty of water! I am very sensitive to heat, so the summer in Japan is difficult for me. However, instead of complaining about the heat, I want to talk about my favorite parts of the Japanese summer! I think the countryside of Japan looks beautiful during summer. The rice fields are filled with water and all of the plants are so green. The sky is also so blue and beautiful! I also love the sound of my fūrin which was kindly given to me last year by Torai Sensei. Of course, the best parts of the Japanese summer are festivals! I love to watch fireworks, to see people wearing yukata, and to eat food from yatai! I have already seen firework shows this year at Nagasakibana, Nakatsu, and Beppu, but I still want to watch more! Although it is very hot, I still love the Japanese summer. I would love to hear your favorite things about summer!
