本校勤務のブレンダン先生から、メッセージをいただきました。高高生の英語力の向上のため、定期的にさまざまなテーマでお話をしてもらいます。今回は、先生の趣味についてです。さて、何が書かれているのでしょうか？

Goshuin

When I first came to Japan, I wanted to visit many shrines and temples. We do not have them in America, so I thought they looked very beautiful and unique. However, I did not know much about Buddhism and Shinto when I first visited the shrines and temples. I have been in Japan for a while now, and I have learned many things about Buddhism and Shinto and I am very interested in them. I also learned about the activity of collecting goshuin (御朱印). Last year in February, I started collecting goshuin. I now have three goshuincho (御朱印帳)! I have collected them in many parts of Japan. When I collect them at rural temples and shrines, I sometimes talk with the Buddhist monks and Shinto priests! They teach me many things about their religions and traditions and I always learn so much. I think I will soon buy my fourth shuincho and continue visiting Japan’s amazing temples and shrines!
