Shikoku Travels
Recently, I was able to travel to Shikoku for the first time. I would like to share a little bit about my trip! I rode a ferry from Oita Prefecture to Ehime Prefecture. It was about 3 hours long! I brought my car on the ferry so I could drive around Shikoku. I drove to Matsuyama and enjoyed mikan and Matsuyama Castle. After that, I traveled to Kagawa Prefecture. Kagawa is Japan’s smallest prefecture, but there are many fun things to do! I of course enjoyed udon, Kagawa’s local speciality. I also went to Kompirasan. There were 1,368 stairs there, so my legs got tired! After that, I traveled to Tokushima Prefecture. I stayed in a place called the Iya Valley. I was surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. I also crossed a Kazurabashi bridge which was a little bit scary! I finally traveled to Kochi Prefecture where I visited some temples. They were part of the 88 temples of the Shikoku Henro. I saw many pilgrims! I also saw a beautiful waterfall. After that, I traveled back to Ehime Prefecture to take the ferry back to Oita. It was a very fun trip, and I would like to go again!
