本校勤務のブレンダン先生から、メッセージをいただきました。　

高高生の英語力の向上のため、定期的にさまざまなテーマでお話をしてもらいます。　今回は英語学習へのアドバイスをいただきました！

Why Learn a Language?

To be completely honest, when I first arrived in Japan, I did not have much　motivation to study Japanese.  Learning Japanese seemed really difficult and I thought that simple phrases like “ありがとうございます” and “とり天が好きです”　might be enough for my everyday life.  Of course, this was not enough.  I realized that I needed to seriously study Japanese. Now, after almost two years, I am able to have conversations in Japanese. I still have a lot of work to do, but I have improved a lot. Thanks to this, I have met so many amazing people and learned so many things. If I had not studied, I would have never had these experiences.

Learning a language can create so many interesting opportunities for yourself. If you are interested in learning English, I truly hope that you do. If you see me in the teachers’ room, please feel free to speak to me in English anytime!
