本校勤務のブレンダン先生から、メッセージをいただきました。　

高高生の英語力の向上のため、定期的にさまざまなテーマでお話をしてもらいます。　今回は夏休みに帰国した内容です。コンサートに行くなどしてリラックスしたようです。

A Visit to My Home Country

Recently, I traveled to America during summer vacation to see my family and friends. It was my first time in eight months to see them. In America, I spent my time enjoying my favorite foods, relaxing on Lake Michigan’s beaches, and going to a concert of one of my favorite musicians, Bruce Springsteen. I have lived in Japan for almost two years, so I was surprised by some things in America. For example, Chicago’s August is so much cooler than Oita’s.  At night, it was sometimes as cool as 15°C! Also, the prices in America were so high! It was very expensive to eat at restaurants, especially because we needed to tip the servers. I also needed to get used to driving on the right side of the road again since cars travel on the left side of the road in Japan. Overall, I had a very fun trip to America and I’m happy to be back in Japan!
