ALTのブレンダン先生から、メッセージをいただきました。

先生は、高高生の英語力の向上のため、定期的にさまざまなテーマを提供してくれています。

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great winter vacation. During my winter vacation, I had fun visiting my family in America. 

Christmas is the most important holiday in America, so I was so happy to be with my family. My hometown, Chicago, is usually very cold in winter. When I arrived, I was so surprised that it was warm! However, a few days later, it was very cold (about -10°C!) I saw snow for the first time in a long time. 

My hometown was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There were so many Christmas trees and lights! I went shopping for Christmas presents, and the shopping malls were so crowded with people! However, they had so many pretty decorations so it was an exciting experience. 

 On Christmas Eve, I ate a delicious dinner with my family in Chicago. On Christmas morning, we opened many presents. It was so exciting to give and receive many gifts. 

On New Year’s Eve, we counted down in Chicago. It was very fun, but the city was so crowded with many people and it was so cold in the middle of the night! I was very excited to go home and warm up. 

I had so much fun in America, but I am excited to enjoy this year in Japan!
